EMB in Scandinavia

EMB Nordic, which joined the group in February 2007, illustrates the benefits of our business model. Founded in 1996 and known until recently as AnalyseTjenester AS, the firm has built up a strong presence in its home territory. In the ten years since it was founded it has established a broad client-base among insurers, earning a reputation for technical excellence and thoroughness.

Its local knowledge and presence, combined with EMB’s greater resources, enable us to offer an enhanced service to customers throughout Scandinavia. In the current climate Solvency II compliance is a hot topic across the region, making it a natural market for EMB’s expertise and financial modelling software.

In addition, EMB Nordic brings its own specialist knowledge, which has potential benefit for EMB clients throughout the world. They have carried out ground-breaking research into the use of claims data to help detect fraud. Their analysis isolates indicators of fraud, tipping off investigators as to where to search.

EMB Nordic’s headquarters are at Bergen, Norway. It also has a presence in Oslo and Stockholm and employs six senior consultants, all of them experts in non-life insurance. The branch covers every aspect of general insurance and reinsurance, including reserving, pricing and financial modelling. The team also has extensive Marine and Captive experience.
