EMB Launch Parameterisation Software - January 2005
EMB launched their new software product ExtrEMB, Dynamic Parameterisation for Risk Modelling, on Tuesday 18th January at Lloyd’s of London. The date falls on the fourth anniversary of the launch of Igloo, our Financial Simulation Engine for Risk Modelling.
ExtrEMB breaks new ground, making it possible to parameterise financial models with accuracy and efficiency. It has been designed for any business that needs to create simulation models and is especially relevant to insurers and reinsurers in light of the new FSA regulations.
Combined with a stochastic modelling tool like EMB’s Igloo Professional ExtrEMB, enables performance maximisation of reinsurance programmes and asset allocation strategies. Through the development of ExtrEMB and Igloo Professional EMB has certainly made stochastic optimisation technology a reality.
At the launch, Andrzej Czernuszewicz and Peter England (pictured) delivered a 45 minute presentation on ExtrEMB’s capabilities to fifty clients, most of which are current Igloo users.
