We have been the independent expert in many of the Part VII transfers of the last three years, including some of the recent very large transactions.
The scope of this role will depend on the precise dynamics of the transfer. It could range from a relatively straightforward review of the actuarial reports of the transferring portfolio, the originating portfolio and the destination portfolio. In the other extreme it could involve a full reserve review and an ICA style review of the portfolios.
